Fraser's Hill town

Reaching the town up on Fraser's Hill. Slightly familiar as we were there more than 30 years ago.

When we were there years ago, this clock tower was not there and the white building was the former Merlin Hotel. It is now known as Shahzan Inn.
We had wanted to stay at this hotel but it was full for the weekend. So we booked a studio unit at Silverpark Resort. After checking into our hotel, we went back to the town to walk around and to take pictures of the flowers there.
This is the post office and next to it is the police station. To the left of the post office is this restaurant that has wall decorations that could be indications of what is served.
This is the town clinic. It is opposite the police station.A little further up from the town is the mosque.
Opposite the mosque is this delightful cafe where you can get light snacks as well as get to see how strawberries are grown.Puncak Inn that also housed a Chinese restaurant on the left and a Malay restaurant on the right. In between is the Tourist Information office where lots of brochures on Malaysia could be collected. There were the usual souvenir shops where you can get a good bargain for some things if you know how.
The town, new and old.

Dinner for two at the Malay restaurant. The Tom yam soup we had was good.
