Hemmant Trail

One reason why we chose Fraser's Hill to take a short break from the hustle and bustle of living in a city is that we could go jungle trekking. At the tourist information office located on the ground floor of Puncak Inn, we were given a print-out giving details of the 8 trails on Fraser's Hill that we could safely explore.

We chose four of these trails to keep us occupied over the next two days. The first was the Hemmant Trail that gave us a pleasant experience of finding some interesting plants and flowers that we have not seen in Singapore. The second one was the Pine Tree Trail that was described as "physically challenging with steep slopes and undulations". Unfortunately (or fortunately) it was rendered inaccessible by the heavy rains).

The next day we took the 1500 m Bishop Trial in intermittent rainfall hoping to continue with the Maxwell Trail after that. As luck would have it, the Maxwell trail was closed.
